We express our strongest condemnation of the heinous terroristattack carried out by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard on the capital city of Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region. This act is a flagrant violation of the Kurdistan Region’s sovereignty and the territorial integrity of federal Iraq, emblematic of the ongoing transgressions committe by the Iranian regime.
The Iranian regime persists in its relentless assaults on the Kurdistan Region and the broader Kurdish movement, resulting in the loss of innocent lives, including women and
children. These reprehensible actions amount to crimes against humanity and pose a grave threat to the principles of freedom. The deliberate targeting of civilians in Erbil
constitutes a terrorist act, unequivocally violating international human rights conventions and laws.
Over the years, the regime has been responsible for the unjust killing of Kurds in the eastern regions. Our youth face baseless charges, and the regime continues to perpetratecrimes against women and children. In western Kurdistan, the ‘Islamic Regime’, through its support of extremist groups, bears responsibility for various injustices and oppressions under different guises. The international community’s silence
and inaction have emboldened the regime to escalate its aggression, evident in recent bombings targeting civilian populations in Erbil. On behalf of the oppressed Kurdish people, The Kurdistan’s Diaspora confederation urgently calls upon the international community, the United Nations, and democratic nations to not only issue statements but to take tangible actions to halt the
bloodshed perpetrated by the Iranian Mullah regime. The blood of our children, spilled in various parts of Kurdistan, is a stain on the collective conscience of humanity.
This violation represents a direct affront to the sovereignty of the Kurdistan Region and federal Iraq. Therefore, we call upon the Iraqi federal government to fulfill its constitutional obligations and vehemently condemn these crimes rather than
remain silent. Despite the adversity we face, we affirm our unwavering determination. The Kurdish people will not succumb to oppression, and our resilience will endure. As we navigate through these challenging times, we proclaim.
Long live Kurdistan,
long live freedom, and glory to the Kurds.
The Kurdistan’s Diaspora confederation
